I have recently installed the driver package (the whole thing) for my canon pixma mp500 (a printer-scanner-copier combination). To my surprise, the drivers worked without problems with vista, the twain driver works, wia works, the scanner suit works, the printer driver works too.
But, the driver will install an IE toolbar too, "easy-web-print", that thing slows IE 7 extremely down. After I have installed the driver, opening IE takes 20 seconds. Openening a new tab takes 10 seconds.. you get the idea.
I tried to deactivate easy-web-print with the add-on manager, still the same problem. I uninstalled easy-web-print (it can be separately uninstalled from the driver package), and still, even now that it is uninstalled, IE is still slow!
